Cholesterol
Blood tests are used to identify diseases, keep track of responce to treatments, gauge severity of an illness, etc.
Common blood testing includes Cholesterol screens.   Just 1/5 of a teaspoon of blood can check for all of the different kinds of fats that circulate in our blood.   A Lipid(fat) panel is a picture of how someone is metabolising fats.  Too many can add to artery blockages.
Diet and exercise are the two things that control how much fat is in our blood stream.
The test only takes a minute. The results are back the next day.  The results show your levels and recommended levels.  Patients with elevations can try diet and exercise.  Some may need medication added.  Some patients follow up with a dietitian and an exercise coach.
